Kids CARE Academy is designed as a half day preschool offering quality instruction for ages 18 months through 4 years of age.  We will follow the Fort Mill School District Calendar and SC Early Learning Standards. 
Our school day begins at 9:00 and ends at 1:00; however, parents may pick up anytime between 12:00-1:00. A morning snack is provided and a “parent packed lunch” is given at 12:00.

About Our Staff

My name is Angela Williams. I am the Director of Kids CARE Academy. I have a Masters Degree in Early Childhood and taught in the Fort Mill School District for 12 years. I married my high school sweetheart and have two wonderful children. Caleb is 11 and Abigail is 7. Being the Director of Kids CARE Academy allows me to combine two of my passions, serving Christ and teaching Children. It is a privilege to partner with you. We welcome you to the Kids CARE Academy family.

My name is Regina Whiteside and I have been married to my husband Ralph for 35 years. Ralph and I have two grown and married children and four beautiful grandchildren. I have been in Early Childhood Development for 22 years as an Assistant Director, but I was eager to return to the classroom because of the love I have for young children.

My name is Jillian Burris and I grew up in Fort Mill. I am married to my high school sweetheart, we have two beautiful children Billy and Jamee. As a family we love to spend our time at the ball fields and go camping. I am blessed to be apart of the Kids CARE Academy team, working alongside some amazing teachers. I have worked with young children for several years and love how quickly they grow and learn. I am excited to learn and explore with your children this year as they grow.

My name is Heather Hefner. I am not native to Fort Mill, but moved here at 18 to attend college. I fell in love with this place and with my husband Corey and planted roots here. We have been married for 12 years and are parents to Ryleigh, 10, Carolina, 9, and Walker, 2. While my college focus was in Communications and Theater, I have many passions and a broad range of experiences. I’ve been fortunate to use my diverse interests in work and ministry throughout my life for the last 20 years. At the center of everything; teaching and caring for children has been a consistent thread in my career. Each job has been a new and exciting opportunity to invest in young lives. I am blessed to be a part of what God is doing at Kids CARE Academy and in the children we teach. “Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from him.” Psalm 127:3

My name is Corrie Harrell and I have been married to my college sweetheart, Preston Harrell, for 12 years. We have two beautiful children, Addison (7) and Evan (4). We attend Fort Mill Church of God and love the Lord. I have been working with toddlers for over 2 years now and I just love the preschool age. It is such a blessing to be able to work in a childcare environment where I can combine my love for children with my love for Christ. I love teaching at Kids Care Academy!!

My name is Rebecca Harrell and I teach the 4s class! This upcoming year will be my 9th year teaching preschool and my 2nd year at KidsCARE Academy! I attend the FMCOG and sing in the choir. I live in Rock Hill with my husband, Phillip. We have 3 wonderful (and equally exhausting) children. Luke is 11 and full of energy. Zack is 6, more serious and a rule follower. Ansley will be 4 in the summer. She is my last child in preschool and will be with me for one more year!

My name is Nichole Irwin and I am native to Fort Mill. I’ve been married to my high school sweetheart for 19 years. We have four beautiful girls. (Gabby, Madison, Zoie and Penelope). As a family we enjoy going on vacations and Disney world. I’m so excited to work at Kids CARE Academy. I love watching kids learn and grow and seeing the world through their eyes.

My name is Monica Henkel. I live in Fort Mill with my husband Brant and our two daughters, Nicole (16) and Ashley (15). I have been teaching preschool for the last 11 years. I was a substitute teacher at Kids CARE last year and enjoyed being part of such a fun, friendly, welcoming environment. My name is Taylor Baker! I just got married a few months ago to the love of my life Tanner Baker. I was born in Fort Lauderdale Florida and moved to South Carolina whenever I was 2 years old. I met my husband in high school through marching band. I have a passion for music and dancing and love to share the joy it brings me with others! I have worked with children of all ages for about 10 years. I have also worked with children that have autism for about 3 years now. I graduated Winthrop University with a degree in Social Work and my concentration was special needs. I love all children and pray for bright futures for each child I come across! My name is Priscilla Glenn and I'm 43 years old. I am married to Bryan Glenn and I have two children, Kristina 20, and Samuel 4. I have a heart and a calling for teaching, and have been working in a daycare environment most of my adult life. The Bible passage that I feel is the center of what I do is found in Proverbs 22:6 NKJV - "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." My joy is to instill God's Word into every child I come in contact with, because once that child grows up and spreads their wings, they will always remember their upbringing that was grounded in that Word. My husband says I have a special way with children, especially babies, that nobody else has. I am simply doing what I was called to do, which is to share the love of God. I am very humbled by the opportunity to be able to become a part of the KCA family and I look forward to the challenge God has given me to teach your children. GOD IS GOOD!!
